Honestly not looking forward to the staff trip to Desaru, mainly because I'd rather spend the day sleeping in rather than waking at 5.30am simply to get to the ferry terminal on time. I'm hoping however that the company of the ones above are great enough to keep me awake throughout the trip.
side note: apparently Desaru has ostrich oil that is pretty good for something. Is RM$100 enough to survive a 6.30am - 11pm trip there?

Spent the last few hours lazing on my bed with my Aspire0ne and my Ovation watching episode after episode of ONE PIECE. This show sucked when dubbed in English but in Japanese... well that's a whole different story. I've learnt a few Japanese phrases just by watching this show. For example:
kaizoku - pirate
ero - pervert
sumimasen - sorry
okama - tranvestite
a-re - what
ni - you
So when you put them together, you get - Are sumimasen, ni ero okama?!
Who says you don't learn when watching cartoons?

Sundays are now spent with my second family, the in-laws. Terrific set of people who are always up for an adventure. To date, we've visited Sentosa and Night Safari - tourist style. Complete the with the oohs and aaaahs and the souvenir shopping. When we aren't on the tourist route, we chill over at Sembawang watching Hindustan or horror movies, whilst mum-in-law, who has watched the movies before, gives away the plot innocently.

It's fun and all, but I still feel awkward even though it's approaching a year of our union. I am hoping that this awkwardness has an expiry date and soon.
